Daydreaming
I slept at 11pm last night and woke up at 2am this morning.
Not even my normal four hours and I was wide awake! I grabbed a deadly boring book to read. This would make me go to sleep. I usually have these doses of literary boredom placed next to my couch in case some shit like this happens.
It didn’t work. The guy was contemplating suicide when his fiancee left him for another man. Under normal circumstances, I would have gone to sleep by page 33. Time: almost 4am. So, I got out of the house and took a walk. I invited one of the beasts to walk with me but none of them find my stupid proposal attractive. At four o’clock in the morning.
I walked for about 20 minutes before it began to drizzle. Lightning tore the black clouds in a distant horizon followed by a fading rolling thunder. Damn. I walked back into the house and laid on my couch, staring at the ceiling in darkness. Soon after, I fell asleep.
I woke up at about 6am. What happened?
Now, I’m in the office about to wrap up the day. Y’know, I didn’t get anything done at all. Nothing. I was just sitting in the office, dreaming away. Away to a place where…er…where…er…damn…away to a place where…I…would…like…to…go. So, I made a proposal to myself to do this, maybe next month:

To walk from my mother’s village (pic above) a few days after Christmas…

…pass through several village settlements before reaching this mountain range (pic above)…

…and then, end up here. That would take around 4-5 days of jungle trekking. Now, that’s worth looking forward to come December.
It’s maybe a great way to wrap up this year that went way too fast.
